Ever wished there was a class that you could try your hand at barbecuing an unfamiliar piece of meat, creating a basic rub, or just to have someone to ask questions to while you are cooking?
Blue Moose Barbecue's own pitmaster, Jason, is hosting a class called "American Barbecue 101". Come learn how to prepare pork, lamb, chicken, salmon and beef. Participants will get to prepare, smoke, and sample the various cuts of meat and take some home with them as well.
Course cost is $120. This covers your meat, rub, fuel, and classroom time.
Make sure to bring a chilly bin to take home your BBQ. Come join us for an afternoon of learning and smoking, rain or shine.
Jason has been smoking barbecue in the US for over 15 years. Come learn some of his best tips and tricks from our class!

wood/ and seasoning selection will be discussed to allow you to achieve optimal results
comparison of different types of smokers available
various cuts of meat to take home that was prepared and smoked during class

........My partner and I went in July. We have only kettled before but were keen to learn more about offsets. Despite the terrible weather we had an awesome day. Hosted by lovely approachable couple keen to help us all learn.....and answer our stoopid questions! Learnt lots, ate lots and had and awesome day. ....even if we did end up in a meat coma later that night!!!!
........Genuinely nice, honest people. Bbq class is great value for the money, if you have one in Tauranga i will come again just for the food and good time. I never post reviews, but i was so impressed i have to give them full credit. Well done Jason and Nickie.
